   Quick start:

   (1) Log onto the drive containing this diskette
   (2) Type:    INSTALL [from drive] [boot drive] [to program drive/directory]
   (3) Press:   <ENTER>

   Example:   INSTALL B: C: D:\BUFSTUFF

           If -  B: drive contains this diskette,
              -  C: drive is the boot drive for your computer, and
              -  D:\BUFSTUFF is where you wish to store the documentation
                  files.

   Result:

   (1) PASSKEYS.COM and BIGBUFF.BIN will be copied into the root directory
        of the boot drive you specify.
        (Registered packages only: BBCTRL.EXE will also be copied into the
        same root directory.)
   (2) The rest of the files on this diskette will be copied into the program
        drive/directory you specify.
   (3) The following file(s) will be copied into the root directory which you
        specify with the extension ".OLD" (if they are detected):
                 CONFIG.SYS      (Shareware and Registered packages)
                 AUTOEXEC.BAT    (Registered packages only)
   (4) The following command will be added as the first line of your
        CONFIG.SYS file:         DEVICE=[boot drive:]\BIGBUFF.BIN
   (5) (Registered packages only) The following commands will be added as
        the first three lines of your AUTOEXEC.BAT file:
                        PATH=[boot drive:]\
                        PROMPT $p$g$_
                        [boot drive:]\BBCTRL info

   Do not proceed with the "QUICK START" installation if any of these steps
   are unacceptable to you.

   The BUFFER STUFFER files on this diskette -

     Included in both the Shareware and the Registered packages:

        INSTALL.BAT      QUICK START installation.
        CHKFILES.EXE     (Used by INSTALL.BAT to check CONFIG.SYS and
                           AUTOEXEC.BAT.)
        README.          This information file.
        BIGBUFF.BIN      Creates BIGBUFFR: the GIANT keyboard buffer
                           with DINKY RAM requirements.
        BIGBUFF.DOC      Documentation for BIGBUFF.BIN.
        PASSKEYS.COM     The TINY keyboard buffer stuffer.
        PASSKEYS.DOC     Documentation for PASSKEYS.COM.
        REBOOT.COM       Warm boot utility.

     Sample CONFIG.SYS -

        CONFIG.FLP       Rename to CONFIG.SYS if booting from drive A:
        CONFIG.HRD       Rename to CONFIG.SYS if booting from drive C:

     Although not essential for the operation of THE BUFFER STUFFERS, these
     additional files -- included in the Registered package only -- enhance
     the use and operation of the BIGBUFFR:

     *  BBCTRL.EXE       Controls BIGBUFFR from batch file or command line.
     *  BBCTRL.DOC       Documentation for BBCTRL.EXE.
     *  BBIOCTL.DOC      Programmer's toolkit for controlling BIGBUFFR.

     Sample AUTOEXEC.BAT -

     *  AUTOEXEC.FLP     Rename to AUTOEXEC.BAT if booting from drive A:
     *  AUTOEXEC.HRD     Rename to AUTOEXEC.BAT if booting from drive C:

   All of the documentation files contain page numbering and form feeds
   (CHR$(12)) every 60 lines.  To print the manuals, you may use the
   following commands from the DOS prompt:

                       TYPE BIGBUFF.DOC>PRN
                     * TYPE BBCTRL.DOC>PRN
                     * TYPE BBIOCTL.DOC>PRN
